Physical Plant Operations Division, District Maintenance Department - is an all-encompassing maintenance operation that is inclusive of multiple professional trades, supporting all aspects of Capital Projects, from estimating the Project through the completion.

The District trades includes: A/C, Carpentry, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Hardware, Mechanical, Plumbing, Roofing, Signage, and Flooring.

District tradespersons are centrally located, allowing optimum services for 264 School and Administrative locations throughout the Broward County Schools District.

An Evening Shift composed of Fire Alarm, Carpentry, Masonry, Flooring, and Paint handles Capital Projects as well as emergencies called in after hours. Additionally, this shift performs HVAC preventative maintenance and state-mandated inspections that cannot be completed while staff and students are present at the various schools/sites.
